okay, i'm having issues with my brakes not working and i've found 2 broken pipes under the bonnet. the only problem is that i have no idea what these are called to order replacements. i've got a number of photos showing where they are, if more are needed i can go and take some.
the car is an R Reg 1.6 Sport, if that changes matters
any help whatsoever will be duly appreciated
This photo shows where the breaks are in relation to everything else
the red line follows the first pipe, the breakage is at a junction with a red square around it. the yellow is the second pipe, the breakage is at the end of this, where it meets a yellow and white rubber thingymajigger ( )
this photo shows break 1 close up, this is the one highlighed in the other photo by the red square
these photos show break 2 close up
ps, yes i'm a total n00b. but it won't be me replacing the pipes, it will be my friend who is a mechanic, so don't worry

Oh dear.
The reason your brakes are shite is they have no vacum assistance.
The black pipe is the vacum pipe from the back of tengine to the servo. Needs a new one.
EDIT - Other one, i'm not sure what it does but a scrappers will only charge a pound or 2.

thanks dean, the pipe for the vacuum was mentioned, but he didn't know exactly what to ask for. but if i describe that i'll be onto a winner?
may be alittle far fetched but have you any idea on price? will i be best going to partco or somewhere or are vauxhall the only people i'm going to be able to get one off? or is it worth going to the scrappy first?

Not too sure on prices Andy. Probably a Vaux only part aswell.
Brake servo vacum pipe, ask for that, check on his screen to make sure he picks the right one. Or, write your chassis number down and take that in.
