is it best to apply polish/wax by hand then electric polish off, or apply with the electric polisher aswell?

plus if you have never used an electric polisher you can damage your paint by accident

If it is a £10 electric polisher, bin it.

If it is a semi decent one, be VERY careful and dont apply pressure when you first use it or you will burn through, especially on corners.

ok, so the meguires 3 stage polish can be done by hand? just dont want swirl marks...

Yes it can but it is £8 per stage. I personally found t cut then stage 1,2,3 gave an ace result. It took me over a day though.

well i already got the stuff, so il probaly spend a day doing it by hand then, gunna clay bar first too.

you dont remove it with a machine polisher. you apply 'polish' by machine (im talking rotary polisher or PC) to work the polish and break it down.

sealants and waxes are for application by hand.

buff all off with a microfibre towel.

Personally id reccomend doing it by hand, and as si_hartlepool said, you get an awesome feeling when you stand back and admire!!
