well ive connected up my 28" widescreen tv to my pc via s-video but its coming up black and white on the tv
anyone know why

Mine used to do that, was because the connection to the TV was a bit loose. Give it a wiggle and see if it goes to colour

Will be in graphics card properties somewhere, it should be set to pal instead of ntsc.
