Iv tried this before, they said they cant do it unless you have proof of the number harassing you etc, bs really..you should just be able to block a number if you want to.

constant call log so they can match it with their call log, so they can see this number is harassing you.

Yeh I had the same problem they wouldnt let me do it either, so I said can I change my number then and they wanted a tenner

Yep you need a crime reference number im afraid, some older phones allow you to block individual numbers but not many now
