I have a 3 phone which I pay on a monthly contract. I don't particularly like my phone but have another 9 months left on my contract before I can change it. Someone has a Nokia N73 that they said I can have but that is currently being used on an 02 contract. I've heard that 3 use 02's network, don't know how true that is, but was wondering whether the N73 would work if I stuck in my 3 sim card. If not, is there anyway of opening up the compatability of the phone?
Sorry if this sounds thick, I haven't got a clue about phones or technology!

However, if it doesn't work, you can get phones unlocked in a variety of places

For the 2G yes. By the end of the year, they'll be sharing their 3G network with T-Mobile, so customers on both networks get even wider/better coverage. The 3G coverage on 3 is terrific. In my girlfriend's house, I lose signal on O2 completely and she still gets 3G on 3.
