sump gasker 1.2 8v is it just take all the bolts off thats holden the sump up

On the 1.4 and 1.6, the exhaust manifold has to come off as well. Would have thought you have to take the manifold off for the 1.2 as well

if he is just doing the gasket though he wouldnt need to remove the sump completely?

sump will be a git to get off i spose, so expect a lot of leavering and tapping with a hammer.

If you have the cork gasket then you might get away with it but it would be easier to take the manifold off. Ive never had a 1.2 so I dont know what gasket they have but I put a cork one on my 16XE and i found it a lot easier to do it with the manifold off
