just translated this from german ebay it says that the bacbox has adjustable sound level? what does that mean? are theese any louder than the other remus backboxes as they are cheaper, maybe they are the so called remus racing backboxes?? . and how you adjust the sound.
please help me out!

i think its like a plate that fixes into the end of the tailpipe....like a big washer,
i would think that its more restrictive with the silencer plate in....but obviously quieter

therefore that box is quite? i dont want a horrible loud sounding backbox, i m confused because if i remember well remus backboxes are painted black over the pipe joints

okay imagine you have a 3 inch tail pipe on the backbox,
to adjust the sound level to quiet you would put a round 3-inch plate in the end with say a 1 inch hole in (like the standardish size tailpipe)
so it will look like a nice back box...but sound like a standard one...
or if you took the silencer plate out you would have a 3inch bore thus being louder.

i just mainly want to know which are the racing(louder) and non racing remus back boxes, i want the quiter one, anyone can guide me?

I had a Remus racing backbox on my Saxo, and it was quieter than the standard one

unless its a full system nothing is going to make much noise. there not that loud even without a backbox

id say the top twin square box with the silencing washer plates in would be the quieter one of the two.

if you want the exchaust to be quieter then buy a quieter exhaust..
if not then get a DB buster.. i have seen supras with them. its a little plate that is bolted into position, and makes the exhaust nice and quiet when at low rpm, and then you open it up the plate moves and well you got a loud exhaust again.
