Got a problem with my car, which i wud suspect is the AFM. Its a 1 litre, 12v 1997. Hestitates like hell from cold, bogs down and just complains when i put my foot down. Other day EML light came on and stayed on for some reason, had to pull over and turn engine off to get it to go away. EML light also comes on when im doin 70mph or more down dual carriageway, when its in 5th gear and i try to accelerate. I can feel the power just drain, light comes on and i hav to take foot off to make it go away. I can get a genuine brand new AFM straight from vaux for about £80!! any thoughts as to what is wrong, or just get a new AFM??

I'd be pretty confident saying thats the Mass Air Flow meter fucked, either get a garage to check it out or take your chance really.

Get tech 2 on it, you don't want to be throwing £80 away...
