im just about to take my engine loom out and theirs 1 random blue wire going into the car through the gromit by the battery tray, how do i disconnect it? please help me, pic of it will be on in a min

i've found the blue wire but i donno what its for shall i just disconnect it or what?

why not unwrap the tape and see where goes? what does it attach to in the engine bay, is that a coil plug?

Looks like an octane plug.

it just goes under the tape then disappears
