what do you mean affects idle? doesn't idle, ie revs rise and drop on their own, or the car tries to stall, or just sits at higher revs?
Need more information before anything can be said!

Alot of people over look the fuel pump, it may be working but not to its full potential, try and hook a pressure tester to it, i think it should be running min about 3 bar of pressure if its an mpi pump, not 100% sure

Does it do it when the car is wet? Mine does now and again, I think I have dodgy leads so I'm going to change them in a couple of weeks.
Have you just checked for airleaks in any of the intake pipes? The pipe between the filter and the plastic intake pipe, and more importantly the small length but large diameter rubber pipe between the throttle body and the upper inlet manifold.
