did it last night, completely fucked my machine up. Just got back on after so many reinstallations?

bet they've made it crap to push more peope into Vista.
I bet it'll also shut down if it detects illegal microsoft software (like vista does) fuck that.

not really, they have just back ported aload of security features from vista, a few enhancements to windows desktop, group policy (for win2k8) amongst a few other things.
no changes to wga i think.

Vista doesn't shut everything down anymore either, keep up to date.

Vista is a much better OS when you go into it a little. Very resource hungry though!
I use Vista at home and XP at work. Liking the RCD with SP3 as it tells you the domain you are connecting too. Very useful indeed.
SP1 fucks up my sound drivers on Vista. Awaiting for new drivers to be released before i can have SP1.
