i have a linksys wiresless rotuer downstairs my my pc upstairs!
Now i always thought my network needed a password forother ppl to log on, my brother came round this with his laptop. And would you belive it,he was on without it asking him for a password.
how do u put a password on it? cos anyone on the street could be useing it!

log into the router and in the menu you'll see a security option, should be able to set it up in there.

you may have to go into wireless settings and there may be a link in there, otherwise it will be as cosmo said.
Failing that post the model of router
