Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (commonly abbreviated to MGS4) is an upcoming stealth action video game in the popular Metal Gear series. Directed by Hideo Kojima, Shuyo Murata and Yoji Shinkawa, Guns of the Patriots is currently being developed by Kojima Productions exclusively for the PlayStation 3 video game console. The game is being designed around the motto, "No Place to Hide!" and will be the last Metal Gear game developed by Hideo Kojima, and the last game in the series starring Solid Snake. The game will be released worldwide on June 12, 2008, 10 years after the release of Metal Gear Solid and 20 years after the first Metal Gear.
Anyone planning to get it?

It was using a £10 voucher that I got for free, and also haggling with DVD.co.uk... Quite complicated...

Hopefully, my copy will come tomorrow so I can spend most of the day beating it. Got nothing to do tomorrow  . I'm actually looking forward to MGO more than anything though, the beta was amazing IMO.

I usally get gamesmaster and they gave it a 97% second best rated game of the year compared to 98% GTA4
Ohh and i am on the second act took me 3hrs 15mins

I'm on second act now, took me 3 hours 50 minutes but I paused alot of the cut scenes while I did other stuff.
I just have to say that it's the best opening to a game I have ever experienced. Extremely emmersive and the visuals are just amazing.  You NEED 5.1 surround sound and a Dualshock 3 to get the most from this game though.
I advise everyone to buy this game.

DS3 pads are still out in this country but the pads are NEEDED in this game
I am now halfway through the second act and my god what a game there are so many bits bigging up sony it makes me laugh.
Game of the year has to be Best game ever massive contender
