Right, i have an alpine 9852RB which has a blue facial illumination. The illumination in my suzuki 4x4 is red. whilst searching ebay randomly i found a facia for a 9852RR which is the same head unit but with red illumination. I was just wondering if this facia will work with my headunit? obviously it will all plugin together, but is there any coding between the facia and the Headunit?

i know my 9857r has a colour change option (blue/red) are you 100% sure yours doesnt?

yea 100% sure. my m8 has a slightly newer version of the same head unit as mine, and he tried to convince me that we could change the colour. But when we both went through the menus there was no option. i guess the "B" at the end of the model no means blue and the "R" at the end of the one on ebay means Red

it will work 100% the letters at the end of the model number just stand for diffrent colours

Have you tried pressing and holding the settings button, thats how you get to the option of changing it in mine
|
