Right I can guess that everyone is sick and tired of seeing these threads from me
I think I have finally found the set up I want. Im sure its complete overkill for what I will be using it for but I cant seem to justify saving the odd £20 here and there to get a lower spec item. Seems more sensible to spend more as it should last longer?
Here is the spec:
And the graphics card is going to be THIS ONE
As mentioned before here are the functional requirements
Criteria for the build:
- Internet use
- Downloading
- Playback of HD media aswell as normal media (large part of its use)
- Maybe some light gaming (GRID, DIRT and other racing games)
- Web design work including photoshop
- Must be as quiet as possible as its in my bedroom
- Future proofed so I can upgrade it easily in the future.
Now can anyone answer me these questions:
1- Does it meet all the requirements esp the noise one?
2- Will it be pretty quiet?
3- Am I missing any cables or connectors or anything?
4- I will be able to use my TV and the monitor as dual screen (TV is 32" and monitor is 19", both different resolutions)
5- Will I need any extra fans or should that be ok for now?
Really appreciate the help and advice from you guys!

massive mistake in getting that PSU IMO. i always have a branded PSU, if it fucks up, you could loose everything plugged in. you can get a decent seasonic/corsair one for £50ish

Will only meet noise req if you enable PWM in the BIOS as the CPU cooler you've chosen gets pretty loud without it.
I disagree with Russ though. Antec is a brand name, and the Earthwatts PSU's are great. The one that comes with the case on its own is over £50 new.
It has dual 12v rails kicking out 17a each which is absolutely fine for the rig he's chosen. It's also one of the most efficient power supplies out there at the moment.

Im being urged to get a P45 chipset motherboard as they have just been released. Are they worth the extra expense? I have been told it will run abit cooler and faster etc. That correct?
