Right, since Im getting a 1.4 Sport, I need to know its potential.

So, 88bhp iirc? No idea on the tourqe figure though.

Also, what gains are to be expected from a lexmaul, full stainless exhaust and filter?

put a 8v flywheel on as opposed to the 16v one, f13c/r gearbox, decat exhaust, and a panel filter should see a nice increase upto about 100 at a rough guess???

don't de-cat it unless you want to get taken up the wrongen if cops stop you for a spot check, just put a decent ex manifold on it, preferably a 4.2.1 as you can have the lambda in the right place... Then get a mantzel styled inlet manifold... Lex still have the drawback of the pipe behind the engine causing heat soak, a nice center and rear exhaust, get it re-mapped. And you should be looking at around 100 to 110 figure.. Then get a lightweight flywheel... Mucho fun

Inlet manifold and a unichip are the best things to do with this engine IMO then a cat back exhaust and a de-cat if you like. Just have to put the cat back on for the MOT. With a Dbilas inlet, 4 branch manifold, de cat and magnex exhaust with a unichip revving to 7200 you will see 120BHP

Thats what I did on my 1.4, will try and dig the dyno sheet out later. Was a few years ago now though. You will not gain torque with the Dbilas manifold though, it shifts power higher up the rev range

Found it, 122BHP @ 6400RPM 101lb/ft @ 5700 RPM

Thats before I had the limiter raised to 7200, power was still climbing at the original limiter so had it lifted. Would have made more power but didnt put it on the dyno again, fitted a LET instead
