Hi all,
ok so a mate is giving me his iphone (first gen) when he gets the 3g one. Im gonna be unlocking it and putting my orange sim card in, question is can i get a data package from orange similar to 02 (unlimited). I would call but i dont know what they'll say to me using the iphone on their network.

Yup - can use Oranges Dataplans with it. They have just announced some new dataplans which are quite good.
They won't care if you use an iPhone or any other phone for that matter. All they care about if you paying up and giving them money

cool, im looking at knocking down the number of txts i get (1000) and using email for staying in touch, still txt for people who dont use email.
Any ideas on the new data plans?

they are mixed into the tarrifs which are all there.
£35 a month unlimited data (500mb)

i rang last night and i can get 30mb for £8 a month or 80mb for £45! Think i'll just use the Wi-Fi when im at work and home for email and internet.
