I have a access database, which has the 'design view' greyed out.
I've searched and searched and cant find where its been locked to, does anyone have any suggestions?
Im using 2007 btw

On a serious note, have you saved it or got all the fields filled in? Won't let you go to des view otherwise

I can open in it 2003 (from another machine but its the same).
I've changed the database to 'exclusive' instead of shared.
I can open the vb page (alt f11), but it wont let me view any of the forms still. everything is locked.

May be that it won't edit the older version of the file as you'll lose backwards compatibility. I know opening 97 files on a 2003 install will do this. Try convert database, on the tools menu I think unless they've moved it for 07.

nope.
im pretty sure theres some security somewhere preventing design view.
It wont even let me view any code in VB 'project is unviewable'
