Dunno why, cars running fine, boyfriends had a look and one of the spark plugs were corroded so replaced it, that's the only problem he could find.
Any ideas? 
Its a completely standard 2000 1.6 16v engine, with only a magnex back box.

unplug battery for 15 mins, replug see if that helps

If it bothers you, take it a garage and let them plug a diagnostic into it.
If not, do as Mike says.

4 screws for the clocks, pull clocks out, locate EML bulb, remove bulb

well it's decided to turn off pmsl  but for some reason i just don't think it's fixed lol
run's fine tho but just can't figure out what was going on  sorted outher problem's today tho lol

Well it has gone out and not came back on, cars running perfect, or seems to be, no lagging, no smells, sounds fine.

The ECU probably just logged it as a fault, sometimes it wont pick up that the fault has been corrected straight away. I'd just keep an eye on the spark plug that corroded as if the replacement does the same you could have more than a spark plug problem.
