Yo Yo Yo, My 3com router dies the other night after a big storm, so looking to buy a new router.
After a decent one, not really interested in Netgear or any BT crap.
Any people have any Linksys or D-link ones? needs to do DYNDNS and the usual extra features.
Tempted by the Draytek Vigor, which has 2 WANs and can have 3g Backup too (we use them at work) loads of features!
But there like £160+
Anyway recommend me what you have and how you rate it

Mine hasnt and nor has my dad's - they are both on 24/7, my dad's has to handle a constant download speed of 300 - 500kbps pretty much all day and night and then theres the wireless computers its connected to as well
DONT GO FOR A BTHOMEHUB, THEY ARE A CROCK OF SHITE

I have a 3Com too, constantly drops out, I'm pretty sure its the router as I've changed providers 3 times now!

I've been through a few. Draytek Vigor I used to have would only achieve 7Mbps on ADSL2+ (Netgear achieved 18Mbps). That Draytek above does look pretty well specced though
Best router I've had in a while is the free one from Be* (Speedtouch 780WL). Hassle free and the CLI lets you do pretty much whatever you want...
Also has two VoIP ports, backup PSTN, etc, etc.

We only use Draytek in work, and have put quite a few of these routers in recently very good replacement for the older 2800g

I've got a Netgear DG834GT, it's never caused a problem on two different ISPs. Supports DynDNS etc. too.

I have two. A Netgear DG834G (which we've had no problems with) and a Linksys (which is Cisco) WRT54G (which i've never had any problems with either).

These tend to fall over when put under load. Version 3 is a little better.
Agreed that the BT Home Hub is very poor. Mine used to die 2 - 3 times a week.
Currently i have a Thompson router from Sky which has not fallen over once in 3 months

I have the netgear DG834PN, but im tempted to get the Linksys WRT160N
Dual band 5ghz (can run in dual band mode for supported clients, ie file transfer/video streaming will run off one band and other clients surfing will run off the other band. if theres little client traffic, the video streaming will use both bands).
I dont have any experience with it, but the previous version (without the N) comes highly recommended on every website/forum.
