my bottom end is goin on my car so goin to put a new engine but now shore wat i will nedd to get it runnig from a 1.4 to a 1.6

1.6 bottom end, X16XE ECU, transponder chip and pickup around the barrel, pretty sure the looms are the same but would recommend getting one with the ECU just in case

Swap the engine perhaps, try and make sure you get one from around the same era as the 1400 - heard on here somewhere the late looms have some additions in them...

get any x16xe out of a corsa put your loom on the engine you will need to use your original gearbox and you also have to change the knock sensor on the rear of the block as they are different but you will also have to change the ecu and transponder+chip in the key but other than that the ecu will just plug straight onto your 1.4 loom its just the engine side that is slightly different

Dont even need to change your ECU! i had my 1.4 16v swapped for a 1.6 16v and i ran it on my 1.4 ecu with no problems, the Maps are the same only difference is the 1.6 has a raised rev limiter

The maps wont be the same because the 1.6 will need slightly more fuel
