downloaded a film and there is no sound, picture quality is ace so is there any way I can find out whats missing?

but seriously, when you downloaded it was it an avi or did you have to extract it from something first, if the latter is the case then maybe you haven't extracted all of it, the other thing to make sure is that if theres more than one file, sometimes you get the video in one and the audio in another, and you need to move them so they're both in the same file

if its an .avi i have no idea, as it should all be together  what are you using to watch it? i'd recommend VLC

Soudns like you are missing a codec, try downloading some of the main codec packs. Cant think of the name of any at the moment though
