Hi all, the temperature on the inside of the car (which i assume states the temp roughly of out side, was 61oC today...................... Fluxuated from 57 to 61 to be precise. Anyreason why this would happen lmao

ye mine used to wander about a bit. goes down to -30 sometimes. sensor might be fubar. or the mfd cant remember which one

go scrappies and get a new sensor.. i got 3 
its just a little plug that is clipped on the bar infront of the rad near the horn

Does it need to be working for engine efficiency? Cause i'll get round to getting one, just duno when im gona get a chance to go to scrappies lol!

its just the outside air temp isnt it? base (poverty models) dont even have them

the MFD display on the dashboard displays ambient temperature outside of the car-
purely for the aid and awareness of the driver.
coolant temperature sender controlls the engine coolant temperature gauge on the dashboard dials.
that is a different kettle of fish however.

It's pretty stupid where the sensor is placed tbh, "yeah lets put it beside a hot radiator"

Never affects it though. Queueing for PVS and the temperature never went up with the temp of the car as the fan kicked in about 10 times.
These also flash when it's 3degrees or under

Ste L had the best idea for them.. bit of extended wiring and move the sensor into the airbox.. gives air intake temps then
