Its no the map sensor. Its the fuel breather pipe. It goes on a little rectangle box near the coil pack

The vac pipes from the inlet manifold from memory go to:
The MAP sensor on the bulkhead
The fuel pressure regulator
The fuel tank vent valve
The rocker cover
You fuel tank vent already has both pipes on it as does the fuel pressure regulator so if the MAP sensor is piped up then it either goes to the rocker cover or it is a pipe added for a gauge in the car, that T-piece isnt standard by the way .
If Ive forgot any pipes to the inlet manifold someone please point it out, its been a few years since I had one of these

Just read the whole thread and If it goes down the drivers side then its going to the charcoal cannister as someone said. If you already have 2 pipes to the fuel tank vent valve (bottom left in your second picture) then one of them is wrong

luke85 - I asked him if he'd put them back wrong and he said that's how they where, so it must of been the person who's car is was last.
Does the pipe need to be fitted?

As it happens no, the charcoal cannister doesnt need to be fitted, what you should worry about though is that there is another pipe in its place which is causing it to run funny. You really need someone local who has worked on these before or someone with the same engine to compare against. You can see in the second picture that its all wrong, Ill circle whats wrong in the second picture when I get home later but the problems no doubt go further than the picture
