on the early dizzy type meters theres like a screw next to the plug on the meter itself, what does this do? Ive messed about with it and it seems to control how the engine idles is this rite? How should it be set up? Thanks

I used to just play about with it on my mates XE until the idle was right, I'm guessing it just alters the amount of intake air

and how should it be set? Dead on idleing at 1000rpm or just below? Cheers

About 900 rpm i would say

wayne, you need a emissions tester when adjusting it. if you need to try another one iv got a couple of spares you can have

laurance it's turning out to be a nightmare this engine, i cant get that screw rite. Just tried ringing you, i've got to go over to burnley tomorrow so i can call into your work and pick them up if it's ok? Cheers
