its probably where your egr valve has been blanked off therefore flashes up the eml light,

Just a cosequence of fitting a powerbox, happens on nearly all!

hope this helps

ECU light shouldn't be on because you've fitted the powerbox, Did you leave the EGR valve in place and plugged in? You need to read the fault code and it will tell you why the light is on

my eml comes on sometimes purly down to the powerbox, doesnt make a difference to drivng atall, only comes on when you are going fast though, think its to do with the amount of air going through... but im not sure.

Pete_vxl, mine does the same.

Its due to the EGR valve. When your giving it berries, the EGR adjusts, but the reading/voltage remains the same, due to it being blanked off.

Thats what throws up the EML.

D14LY are you sure ALL of the plugs for your sensors etc are plugged in?

Should have left the EGR in place, you just put the blanking plate where the throttle used to be.

Im a little confused about everyone saying they have the EM light on with different inlets, I ran mine with the Dbilas for 2 years with no problems with the engine management light

When I fitted my power box the eml came on now and again it was the egr, mine is still in place, and connected and used the blanking plate on the end where the throttle use to be , I just ignored it and it went away it got fed up telling me .the car goes great even if it does come on,I hope fitting me janspeed will cure this niggle.

Exhaust manifold has nothing to do with the egr system though.

If you have removed the EGR valve all together then that will cause the light to be on

All the time...... you need it plugged in still so the car thinks its still there else it will flash up with problems because it cant find it.

the ecu doesnt find sensors it recieves infomation from the sensors!,
Only multiplexing ecu's send infomation and wait for the relivant sensor to pick it up, but normal ecus are programmed to run with the sensors on that engine they are for, so if you remove a sensor the engine light will come on..
