What are the options for the linkage when converting, heard you have to extend or buy a short shifter or something...

Can someone shine some light on it for me

You can extend it but iirc its pretty tricky to get it right.

Most people buy them from lmf or rallydesigns.

dont use the spacer then the standard works - think you need to bend it slightly though

cut and weld in a small piece of metal, the same thickness as the spacer on the U section

or buy a short shift for an xe conversion

So if you buy the short shift from LMF you don't have to modify the Corsa linkage at all?

Hardly the same thing, the conversion short shift kits are made completely out of metal and are far less likely to break than the standard linkage.
