Ive got a college project to design my own house, which i have done. I now need to find out roughly what it is going to cost to build. As in per m^2.
More importantly i need to do it quickly and for free. Any ideas people?

Have you got access to BCIS? (building cost information service)

These days the general rule of thumb is around £1000/m2 for new build construction

yea. They dont quote for the size of house that i want to build
Moe, that may be be but i need proof that this is the case
Ive found this
http://www.homebuilding.co.uk/files/ascent-homebuilding/Build%20Cost%20Guide%20Dec%202008.pdf
But the thing is the house will be in canada so the pricing may be well off

What level of detail are you expected to go into in terms of you costings?
What style, size and type of construction is the house?
Are you costings to include land costs and finance costs?
If you could send me a dimensioned drawing I could have a look at pulling a budget development appraisal together for you if I get a spare half hour.

It quotes per metre square, not exact building sizes - think you're looking in the wrong place mate.
