'99 T Reg. 1.4 CDX 65K miles. After braking and turning a corner, at low speed, a chattering is heard and can be cancelled by just pressing the brake pedal lightly, (not enough to brake), also, on some occasions, the ABS comes on when braking but has no reason to do so, i.e. no snow, ice, gravel or rain etc.
I got the impession that it is ABS related, maybe sensors or hopefully not the ABS control unit, any ideas or experiences.

check you abs sensor pickups, these can get swarf on them and give the sensors wrong readings, also sometimes the abs ring on the shaft can snap
