Checked the coolant level?

I was going to say air leak but surely that can't just happen without any coolant change etc.

you know any history with the engine?

95/100 is to hot running on any car that is just not ok ,mine at the worst is 93 all depends on temp gauge as there is margin of error but looks like a problem there to me ,cheap to replace stat and see or air lock or even poor water pump at worse, I would still replace stat as a starter then take it from there.
