I was going to burn them onto dvd and play them through that, but whilst looking for a program to convert it I saw something saying get a dvd play that plays divx it is a lot less time consuming?
Are they not different files? If the same does that mean I'd just knock up a data dvd and i'd be away?
Also my new tv is 720p, so would I be best connecting the player through hdmi and that would upscale it for me? (that might be totally wrong, that is my current low level understanding of it at this present time though :lol
Help much apprieciated, tried to use google but I end up with loads of webpages open and muddled up!

Haven't got one, or a ps3, was no point with the old tv I had. Possibly get one in the future now I've sorted that out.

Went this route, they keep failing before the end putting most of the film on and missing the bloody end off.

if your wanting to convert to std dvd format try software called "convertXtoDVD" on the other hand divx dvd player is handy - I have an old philips dvp5960. Baring in mind can hold ~6 avi's @ 700mb each on a single layer dvd. 5960 can also play divx avi via usb as well so if you have a decent sized mem stick can just dump them on there.
