can anybody help me my temperature gauge next to my clock is not working theres just two lines where the numbers should be

ambient temperature displayed on the MFD, not engine coolant temperature on the dials.
check the sensor- it is located underneath the front numberplate, clipped behind one of the bumper ribs.
i would look for corroded or damaged wiring etc.

mine works was reading -2c while working on the car oh what fun, yep sounds like broken wire or faulty probe.

Thats the coolant temp sensor I think

No , do what mattyross said. thats probably an old coolant sensor bin it.

thats a coolant temp sensor located on the inlet manifold



Thats the one located behind the front bumper bar and measures external air temp
