DO you have a few albums that have the same names? Also, select all the songs on an album, and in the properties, make them all part of a compilation.

I-tunes is dog shit, I use it for syncing the I-pod that's all, you're better using something else to listen to your music.

iTunes is as a matter of complete fact the worst program ever.

I can't remember how to do it because I set it ages ago, but make the thing come up a the top (it's called browse so look round for that) and then you can click on the album, and it will only show that album in the list. Everything else disappears.

But yeah WMP is way better in every way, apart from occasionally I find it forgets album covers

You can use Winamp to move songs to your iPod as well, removes the need to use iTunes at all

I've always used winamp to play my music anyway, so was chuffed when i found out i could use it to sort the iPod

Can't say I've ever had this problem or the original posters problem after 4 years of usage

As said its always worked perfectly for me. Never ever had trouble with it.

Seems to be very marmite, or people just want to hate it, the same way some people have to hate Apple products.

I love apple products, I used to be weary of them, but in the past few months I bought a shuffle, a MacBook and just now an iPod touch. All of which I am very satisfied, but iTunes does nothing for me.

I don't want to hate it, it's just nowhere near as good as WMP. One thing I find annoying is how if you're playing an album and then you go and look at other stuff (e.g. to find something else to put on) then at the end of the song, it will stop because it's not on the screen any more. WMP manages to play music whilst letting you do anything else without stopping it.

Also iTunes installs the annoying Apple Updater. How many times do I have to tell it I don't want Safari and all the other junk?

I can't remember what I was originally going to say because I went off on one

It did it to me at one point actually, you can either edit them and take the additional artist out, or you could open the more advanced editor box thing and cut and paste them into the Album Artist box instead of Artist, that way it doesn't split them up.

I reckon it's probably because WMP and iTunes do things a bit differently so when you import songs, it does it wrong, I don't know but it's a theory.

to get them all in the same album you have to go into the files "info" then mark as part of a compilation.

it took my ages to do all mine, worth it though.

i agree, itunes is crapola.
