My engine sounds slightly tappy atm, bought it yesterday checked oil levels ect and there fine, just wondered whats involved in changing them over and what sort of costs it would be cheers that is all

easy, take the cams out and get a special tappet magnet and they just lift out then you just drop the new ones in. they are pretty expensive about £10 each so roughly £160

as sand-eel said just don't get the cheap ones off ebay they're crap

i hate messing about with cams and stuff, timing is a bitch! Ill probly get my local garage to have a go at it, i just checked and i does sound like it taps from the inlet mianfold/injector rail, want to go down the cheapest route ideally

Buy it cheap, buy it twice. If you get them from Vaux you know they're good, e-bay's like buying something without a receipt.
