lol has that been pop riveted on....
crank position sensor is a pease of pis to change and the only problem you'll have is if its munting bracket is brocken, which isnt to bad to do eather

yeah, this snapped while transporting the engine we think.
cut exhaust off, sump and oil pump off, but the sender or somethings in there so the crank might have to come out

to change that it only reads off a notch in the crank pulley so crank wil be fine..
only thing i can see from that is the bracket is part of the block..... which is ummm bad.

if you can get some chemical weld on it then your laughing as it will be stronger than when it came out the factory,
i take it its a ally block or a cast iron one?

if you weld it .. you would have to get it exatly right as it needs to be in the right position

as john said... you need the right air gap... personaly id kick the guy who fitted this in the hairy dangely bits for this cock up if that bracket it fits to is cast to the block its new block time

UIf it snapped off while in transport why the fuck was it riveted back on and not replaced while the engine wasn't in the car
with bodgery like that you're wondering why its not running? I hope thats the only 'bodge' on there!

Of course it is f**ked the sensor must be at certain position from the pulley ,the bracket can be replaced !

iv been to vauxhall today and found out the bracket is part of the oil pump casing, hardly a 5 minute job
