it will be the end of june, and either in black or white.
just in case people wanted to know!

Is this wise? Will ANYONE want to buy the N97 on Vodafone when the Blackberry 'super-dooper' Storm is available?

we anticipate sales in the hundreds so we should break even.

The masses you speak of sound interesting, have they been correct about any other mobilephone releases in recent months?

you should also recall me saying that in december we had not agreed to it and said we wouldnt have it. i also then said it would be reviewed in 2 months time.
start of march we started negotiations to have it, as long as certain software was removed. now that we have sole rights to the handset, with certain software gone, we have decided to take it on.
so we have the htc magic, the storm, the n97 and a few more surprises later this year.

in fact Nismo, i also quoted you as being right about future negotiations, and that in 3months down the line things would be different.

That could change at any point though, like as soon as these amazing storm sales stop for instance.
valid point tbh, however, we wont be having it.
and they dont change at any point, once we say no to something reviews dont get carried out again for 2 months, saying that UK release is expected in March 09, pending on a successful agreement with a carrier.

its a bit laggy right now, but were running beta.
its heavy as well, but it feels well built.
with the x1 fading, this could be a winner, but the htc magic is a serious serious serious good piece of equipment.

at the moment we have secured handsets exclusively. if other networks now want the handset, nokia will have to pay vf a further commision for us to allow other networks the handset.
i predict it will be exclusive for a few months then nokia will pay us out to re-write contract to exclude exclusivity.

nope. it has been removed as this was the one reason aside from cost that every network bar 3 said no to it.
