Naa mate you must be doing it wrong, you must be an idiot etc etc, I was apparently the only person ever that couldn't get it to log in.
I had to go through and clear cookies and history a few times (on a brand new install when i'd never had it on my system before ) and finally got it to login.

Probably when you transfered over your cookies/history/favorites from IE, the CS cookie decided it didn't like firefox
Clearing your cookies and trying again sorts it... but you already done it, so I'll just end my post here.

Importing your cookies would explain it - CS will refuse that because it isn't the same browser that set the session.

firefox isnt crap. different users have different needs, i.e. although a functionally browser it has limitations and cant be extended.
edit - also its a browser not an os

So is IE
Can't believe it doesn't work with Outlook. It's a Microsoft program FFS

I think unless there's some pressing reason why you should use any particular browser then the Firefox vs IE vs whatever argument is pretty academic.
I use FF for two reasons - I can run NoScript plugin which prohibits anything running on pages unless I allow the site it's coming from, which means the likelyhood of being infected with malware is significantly reduced. Plus I hate the positioning of the buttons in IE.
Back, forward, stop, refresh, home. Quite why they needed to change that I'll never know.
