Random question.
I've got an x16xe Corsa Sport, 99 model.
My car seems sluggish and I think it's down to the cat... it stinks lately, and I've got a spare one from an x14xe... so wanna put that on. I've had sparks coming out of the exhaust a couple of times and it resonates weird sometimes lately (like a ... wow wow wow kinda sound lol!)
Went to put it on, it's about 3" too short though. I had a magnex decat the other year which was also too short so we had to extend it. Looking at other decat pipes they're a few inches too short too...
So, do the x14xe's have a shorter cat pipe? Or is mine unusually long? I'm gonna be hopefully ordering an Ashley cat back system next week to replace my powerflow centre/magnex back box system so am wondering just if I need to make any modifications or if it'll mate straight to the x14xe cat I've got being a bit shorter which seems the common thing?

Yup they should be the same size, tigra x14xe + x16xe and corsa x14xe + x16xe.

any more opinions? seen some cats for sale on ebay and some come with an extra sleeve which looks long enough to make up the difference I mentioned earlier

Hmm that looks a bit short but yeah the sleeves make up thedifference so just buy a longer bit of pipe to join them 
I got mine from an astra decat when i needed and extension.

See my 1.6 cat is as above with the long sleeve, and most decats I've seen (including a magnex I had) are short lol.
Odd, well I think me 1.6 cat is fooked, so hopefully 1.4 cat will easily mate to a new ashley system when i order it
