iv just picked up an engine with dbilas throttle bodies on it, ill be taking these off and fitting them on the engine in my gsi, however im unsure what to do about management. originally i was going to get aftermarket management as i wanted to fit trumpets and obviously couldnt use the afm on the c16xe.
the engine i have got comes with a x16xel ecu that has a unichip fitted.
is there a advantage of running with trumpets rather than the airbox?
is there any point fitting the x16 ecu and getting the unichip mapped again or shall i just buy a different ecu? iv got a few more mods than the ecu is set up for mainly cams.

just use what the dbilas tb's are supplied with and not muck about too much. tbh id of spent the money far better on proper TB's and management. the dbilas parts are too overrated.

got them at the right price so not too bothered, why arent they proper tb's anyway?

I had steinmetz throttle bodies in my corsa (identical to the dbilas ones) and I used to have a Dastek unichip. I was very pleased with it!
