Anyone got any suggestions?
Birds seem to like the corner of our roof, always dropping twigs off there and doing god knows what in the gutter. We end up with bird shit on the cars and cats sitting on the drive and cars looking up at these birds.
Any tips for keeping them off the roof (apart from an air-rifle)?

Nailed to the chimney might work, either that of the old dear over the road will call the fire brigade out to rescue it

Not really a way to stop them going on it, but if you paint the roof with industrial strength glue then you can be sure each bird that lands only ever drops one twig.

We shoot them with a bolt rifle. You're right, an air rifle isn't really suitable.

Over kill and illegal tbh. Those bullets can travel over a mile if fired into the air (which is illegal) and kill someone after travelling through the bird. Or seriously fuck up your roof.
At least the air rifle, if it hits a roof tile, won't break it.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
