do you have to buy the full kit or just the belt ?

buy a full kit mate. while its stripped down check for any freeplay in the waterpuump. if there is any play, get a new one on there

personally id just change it for piece of mind if you have bought the car second hand . think its only cheap for a belt as vaux's , just change whats needed , costs less

i bort the car wi no service history they guy did say it was dun not so long ago so wa just gunna replace the belt

Its the rollers and tensioner that tend to fail not the belt so always get a full kit.

yea the tensioners do go, thats how my car ended up in the state it did.

full cambelt kit down here isn't as expensive as what mike said, i got one for £62 trade price tho, but wouldnt be much more. but obviously if u got a water pump to it would bump it up a bit mroe, i would change it tho for peice of mind.

i brought a replacment engine about 5 weeks ago, and decided im gunna change the cambelt tensioners, water pump etc even tho it was done 40.000 ago, just to be on the safe side
