the flash on my k850i stopped working a few months after I got the phone.
had anyone else had this problem, or know how to fix it?

Is it set to auto? cos sometimes it doesnt go off depending on how much light its picking up

go into the service menu and test it from there.
(unlock your phone then press these combinations)
> # << # < #
> and < mean push that way on the scroller-thingy-mabob.
there also should be an option to empty the flash if i remember correctly.

Mine was a pain in the arse. Flash would go off and I'd still end up with dark pics.

Mine did this, but the flash actually exploded, was taking a photo, flash went off with a massive crack and never worked again.
Then the camera stopped working altogeter about a month later, so got a C905+, hasnt broken... Yet.

Yes. Download the SEUS (click) and follow the directions.
