I've got an SD Card slot on my PC, when I put the card in nothing pops up, checked in My Computer and theres nothing there, thats as far as my PC knowledge goes...

Im 90% sure theres ex bird porn on it, its there for whoever tells me

Even if it doesn't pop up are you sure a new drive or existing drive cannot be accessed like L:\ or H:\ etc..?

Could be the card itself but do you have anything that can read an SD card like a Camera/Phone?. Can you not check on the Camera/Phone for the pics?.

I dont know how to do all that L:\ H:\ stuff, means nothing to me...

No the camera is broken and Ive got nothin else it will fit into, it would fit into my GFs camera but I cant exactly try it can I, just incase

seems like the card reader not working or installed correctly? check in device manager for any unknown usb devices

I just meant does any new drive letter show up once the SD card is plugged in?.

Try a card reader if nothing else works.

Yeah Boots have card readers, just say your going ot get your gf a presant (so she dont come with you) and try it out just make sure no-one is looking

Had this when I bought my dell. Turned out the data connector was very loose on the back of the card-reader unit. Pushed that back in and was all good.

Check you aint got an SD-HC card... Some SD card readers will not read them.

get a card reader off ebay

or as someone mentioned, use one of those card readers in boots (or one of those passport like machines you find in shopping centers)

Could also be a driver issue.

With the card in, do a right click on My Computer, Properties, Hardware, Device Manager and look if there any devices with yellow question marks next to them.

I still don't understand why you need a card reader? Surely you can plug the USB cable into your camera with the card in it to get the photos off of it.

Just tried that and theres no yellow question marks.

And yeh cameras fucked and in the bin.
