Genuine reason, Had all music on an external HD and it's completely died on me, think the arm in the HD is broken, so there's no way of recovering etc.

I've got my purchase history up on iTunes, going back to 2005, but still, can't find an option to re-download. There's three computer's allowed to have the music iirc, there has only been two computers with the music on (This being one of them).

Can anybody shed any light on the matter?

Yes, e mail them and they'll allow a re-download.

I havent had to do this myself, but i've heard the story a few times....and each time its been sorted by the good people at Apple
