no offence mate, but it sounds like you've been gullible and been sold an engine claiming power that it is probably making no where near.
i know my mates xe made 180bhp on 2 different rollers with full rebuild, lighten/balance, power cap, decat, super chip and one of my heads.
2.1 itself will need 88mm pistons, and im sure anyone putting 88mm pistons in will not fit them to a stock engine, seeing as a set of pistons would set you back £500 + over bore, bearings, etc etc.
r1 carbs would probably work.
best advice if looking at bike carbs is too ring bogg brothers, as they do the manifolds and also do drive in/drive out kits

thanks guys on your coments i can see where you comeing from by saying it wont be 180 bhp by looking at the spec, i sed all this to the chap who i brought it off, then he shown me some of the reciepts, piston's bearings, ect ect then i was confinsed that it is a 2.1,
all the spec that i listed above is just a copy/ paste from the site it was up for sale on, i have loads of reciepts of wats bein done and it hasnt bein noted down for some reason.
what would be the best way to double check on the piston size's??? then we can be sure

take the cylinder head off and measure the bore, you should get a rough idea of what size they are. the proper way would be to take a piston out and measure, but tbh you should be able to tel differance between 86, 86.5, 87, 87.5 and 88mm pistons

obv the lad whos sold the car has done the typical 156bhp + 10bhp k&n + 15bhp Exhaust
