Recently had a x16xe fitted to my car and im loving it but it kicks out a bit of blue smoke just about every time i start the car even if left for 10mins it does this and was told my a friend it will be the oil stem seals that need replacing.
Can anyone confirm this for me?

Dependant on the severity of the rings they will also seal up when warm. Stem seals would certainly be the first option to take unless your feeling extra saucy and fancy doing teh rings as well whilst the heads off.

ahhh why cant peeps call them what they are... valve guide oil seals blahh to stem seals....
but in all honesty it does sounds like VGOS if it smokes when you start it up but not when its running..
take it for a run and let it do a bit of engine breaking, after you let the car slow down with just the engine give it a big old boot and se what shoots out the back, if its blue then more than likely its rings mate, if it smokes even when ticking over then more than likely seals
