Basically, ive fitted a backbox off another corsa (came off a post-97) to my pre-97 1.4 8v, and it isnt as loud as it was on the previous car, is their any reason why this is happening?

Also, when i removed the backbox and started her up, it wasnt much louder than with the standard box on, but on my nova with no exhaust on its supidley loud, anyone have any ideas why tis not as loud as the other corsa, or how can i legally make it louder?

not that i aware of, it was only a really chavved up old shed of a corsa, was really a nail, so most probabley not, or not professionally haha

The custom backbox I have sounds standard on my Corsa but the guy I got it off, it was loud on both of his Corsa's. Haven't a clue why it makes no noise on mine

I'm not sure about his first Corsa but the second one he had didn't have any silencers removed yet sounded really loud yet on my car it sounds standard

Looks good though so wasn't a total waste of monies.

there is a certain decebel level that you have to stick within but you can remove them

My car is a 1.0 12v but I still would have imagined the exhaust to sound louder than standard. I know it wouldn't sound as loud as on the other two Corsa's it had been on.

No, not illegal, you can remove any part except the cat convertor.

its only because the cat is still on it stops so mch noise its unreal
