Bought myself a corsa gsi the other day and its been stood for a while i got a new battery for it and some new spark plugs and filled it up with a bit of petrol, when i go to start the engine it just keeps turning over and over and it never starts, there is a spark but i dont think any petrol is getting into the fuel rail, can anybody help me on what it could be.
Thanks Jay

Fuel pump is in the tank, lift the back seat base up and you'll see a black circle in the floor, it under there.

it wont be a constant wineing, just when you turn the ignition over you should here it, if you carnt her anyfink try and change the relay as already said, anouther option is (long shot) bump start the car, worth a try, get some one to tow you.

there carn't be to much of a problem with it, if there's deffo a good spark there, then its fuel as you say, have a look and see if there is a external filter on the feul line normally under the bonnet is there is change it if its full of shite, only couple of quid from car shop.

so good spark.
the car will whine when you turn the ignition on for about 5 seconds then turns itself off as it has primed the system.
so is it doing that?
if not then back seats up get to the pump and have a look at the connector.. oh does the fuel gage move when the ignition is on? as if it dont then it could be the plug ontop of the pump.

check wether it primes/buzzes if it does then pull off the fuel filter and change it.
if that dont work, then do a paperclip test which is easy to do, paper clip test see what it comes up with, if nothing suspisious then ts going to have to be checking fuel pressure which isnt to bad then check compression
