Ignition live, you need to run a wire from inside the car where both looms get joined, its the thin black wire on the car loom

Have you read the tutorials before posting?

i don't have any plugs on mine so i've opened up the loom coming from the fuel rail and someone's alredy been into it.

there are 4 black wires in total, the thick one goes to sensor on distributor, then there is 3 more but 1 has been soldered for sumreason?

in the footwell is the black wire to be connected for switched live the one beside the green wire in picture below? if so when i had the tester on the black wire from footwell is connected to the wires that are soldered in the engine bay.

also in the picture above what is the little connector for that isn't plugged in for, an in the picture below for sum reason there is a thin red wire been added to the blue/red wire for the fuel pump relay why would this have been done an what happens with the plug that is coming off the fuel pump realy?

sorry for the essay but am bit stuck with this now, the engine is turning over an there is petrol and spark so it's just this wiring im stuck with. but looks like the loom has been played with anyway thats why i've got problems.

where does the soldered one go? that looks like the right sort of wire for the switched live. its always best to start with a completely untouched loom tbh.

it's already getting power too it the one thats soldered? the engine and loom was bought and it was supposed too be ready just too drop in, but it's took sum sorting with all the bodging on it.

wot is it that this switched live is for? would the car run without it connected?

car wouldnt run without it. are you getting an emlight on the dash? it needs to be connected to a wire which needs to be run back into the car and connected to the black wire inside the car by the ecu.

could be cant really tell. if the bunch of wires are coming from up behind the dash and the wires in the bunch with it are the ones used in the conversion then yes its that one.

if there is no eml then its either not connected properly or double check the bulb works.
