hardly anyone will touch those engine in corsa c's. have u got this months total vaux, read the article about m-techs corsa c with cally turbo engine, said it took notime atall too put the engine in, but took them months to get the wiring to work. and thats there profession. best bet is a corsa sri engine really maybe a 2.2 16v from certain models may go in. dont think many engine conversions have been done in these cars to be honest.

I asked a while ago and say a c20let would cost about £500ish and a conversion kit would be pushing onto £2000!!!! Its the electrics thats the problem...i reckon it might be easier to put the astra 2.2 turbo in as it has the modern wiring etc...but ud bettr be prepared to pay a lot! bettr off waiting for the GSi and gettin that! Then if ur not impressed im sure u can tune it!

Dream on! They will give you hardly any discount and if you think you'd get the engine turbo and everything else you need for £2k your having a laugh!

I don't know how much the engine is, so i can't comment on this. What i can say is that Vauxhall Partners discount is very good, most parts you get 30% off.
When i crashed my car, some parts like driveshaft the RRP was £299 and price to me because of discount was £160, which is nealy 50% off. So it might be worth your while getting the stuff brand new.
Labour will cost shit loads though

i recon now a couple ov corsa c's have had the 2.0 16v turbo conversion that the conversion price will come down in price coz some has got the wiring write and would make some good money on selling the wiring kit for this conversion

I was talking to one of the guys on the Vauxhall stand at Pod and he said that it looks like they shelve the project due to cost and emissions issues, they have spent a fortune on it already and are loathe to pay out any more, they are having difficulty with emissions as they were considering the 2.0LET turbo lump but there was too much butchery involved! the 1.6 turbo is too far off and the Corsa is due for replacement in 2 years, he did say there may be a limited run of 1.6 turbo's toward the end of Corsa C's production. Umtil then they are apparently going to produce a tuned up 1.8 to put out about 150BHP (oooh wow!) with a few other goodies, but I dont see the point personally cos the normal 1.8 SRi hasn't donr that well as far as I can see. Apparently the recent pics of a dark grey/blue Corsa with wide arch kit on is an Irmscher kit which is in the pipeline.
Oh well we'll just have to wait and see, I'd of thought with all the hype they would of gone ahead with it. I think theyd sell shed loads cos the concept car at Essen looked absolutely sh!t hot!

Noticed some of the 'Butchery' involved changing to cable gear linkage with an f23 box / 5 stud front hubs / modified air box / engine mounts
Although the finished product did look very professional (should b if vx have dun it!!!)
Posted some piccy's up of the wide arch corsa a while back - but got accused of photoshopping it !!!!l
